The purpose of these worksheets is to teach children the power of their breath. Once we can tune in to our breath, we have the power to regulate when we are feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
These worksheets can be used for children ages 6+, or for younger ages with support. They can be used at home, in the classroom or during yoga classes.
Remember that breathing always starts with awareness. If a child can become AWARE of their breath, they stand to understand its importance and how we can use it to CONTROL the way we feel. Slow the breath, calm the body.
It is important not to force any breathing techniques on kids. If they don’t want to do it, you can demonstrate it and see if they want to observe.
